Controllers
The controller is the core of Meru's virtualized Wireless LANs, tightly synchronizing access points to optimize the user experience by avoiding interference and governing all traffic on the network. Supporting from five to thousands of access points, controllers can be centralized at an enterprise or distributed to datacenters and branch offices, with both chassis-based and appliance models available.

Controller Technology & Software
All Meru controllers and access points run the same System Director operating system. Air Traffic Control, the underlying technology behind Meru's virtualized Wireless LAN, puts the network in charge of both upstream and downstream traffic. Each client is given a dedicated Virtual Port that's customized to suit its exact requirements and ensure Quality of Service.
